It's only a photo montage for right now but I've BEEN working on one for awhile... it's a work in progress and will continue to be so as it'll be 2007 in review when it's finally DONE. ;) I can't show you that one yet for OBVIOUS reasons so on with the show I've got now... :D

Time for bed...

but first... my new header... ;D

Almost all is by Gina Miller Designs. The only thing that isn't is actually the editing that went with my new filters!! Fun! Busy day tomorrow... I'll try to remember to take pictures and post them!

PS. I saw Shrek the Third with Mia, Bug, Matthew and Shaun tonight. It was totally cute!

Can you tell I love Gina Miller? The first LO is actually the one I mentioned here but I hadda revise it because I didn't realize she scrapped 12x12. Way fun!!

Basking in artsy glow

My cousin's hubby attends Otis, a fantastically awesome art school. Well, he attended. He's getting ready for his graduation ceremony as I type this. So last night was the senior art show. AMAZING! I really didn't want to leave. I was just surrounded by art and artsy people and I just soaked up all this creative energy. I've got one week to finish this semester and I'm DYING to just go play play play!

One thing for sure. After last night's little visit to the digital media displays... my next computer will be an iBook of some sort. My brother-in-laws (all 3 of them) are going to have FITS but I'm sorry... no PC is gonna cut the mustard folks. I picked up the business cards of dozens of talented artists. I'm gonna go scope out their websites and link here to the ones I think you'd be most interested in. So many talented people. For now, I leave you with Travis' site. I'm very proud of him, he's worked really hard (he and my cousin, Kristal) to get through this and I'm so glad it's finally culminated. Next stop... get a fantastic job, because you totally will go far with this!!

Tired...

School is killing me. Here's a funny video though. If you've never seen David Blaine then you won't really get it, but I think you'll be able to figure it out... Street Magic 2. Sorry for the link, I can't seem to get it to embed. :(

Happy NSD!

It's National Scrapbook Day. I didn't get to really play because I had WAY too much homework. But I made it fun for myself anyway. I had to do a poster project for my biology class so I made a paper pieced African Penguin (he's what my project is on). Isn't he cute? I made him with Bazzill Bling and my white Sakura Gelly Roll pen.
I also went to Michaels to get supplies for my poster project and WHOA!! Did you know Martha Stewart started her own craft line? WOW! If you haven't been there you need to check it out. I guess they JUST came out last week. Check out the flyer that I picked up there...

And the other cool thing I found...

They're from Die Cuts with a View (in case you can't see the logo). They're embossed and GLITTERY!! Very cute and fun for a fairy tale themed book. There was also a pile of embellishments to go with them. They came in 8x8 and 12x12 sizes albums and papers. Way cute!!

That's the end of my break though. Gotta get back to work!!

Oops!

I was wrong. His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass doesn't come out until Christmas time. That's actually better because it'll offset the Harry Potter craze that's coming this summer (gives me something to look forward to). I *think* they may be doing the every 18 month thing like HP does (except they'll be offset from each other) because the next one is scheduled for 2009 (12/09 is when HP: HBP would come out) and I think it'd be stupid to compete with it. While both book series are phenominal, HP is the better known of the two and HBP is a better book than The Subtle Knife (imo). GC introduces the trilogy, SK is where LOTS of plotlines of seemingly disconncted stories. It all gets tied up neatly in The Amber Spyglass, but I don't think these books are easily converted into 3 seperate movies. It's more like one movie 3 VERY big pieces. They're fantastic reads though. I just got sucked into them.

Anywho... I went to the movie's site today and took a test to tell me what my daemon is. If you agree just leave it be and in 12 days it'll be settled. If not, you can leave comments to change it. Cool huh? Just like in the books. Go ahead and take your own test. Let me know if I need to comment on yours!
